Care Guide.
Salt is a forgiving material — but it has one rule: it dissolves in water. Everything below follows from that. With this care, every HALORA piece lasts years.
Salt soap bar.
Pink Salt Soap Bar
- Preferably use inside the jute pouch it ships with. The pouch acts as a lather bag — wet it, then move across damp skin. It keeps the bar from crumbling and gives you a gentle exfoliating cushion at the same time.
- The rough side of the bar exfoliates once or twice a week; the smooth side cleanses daily. Work in slow circles, rinse, pat dry.
- Follow with a lotion or hydration cream. The salt draws moisture out of the skin — replenish it after every use with your usual body lotion, hydration cream, or oil so the skin stays soft rather than tight.
- Do not use on consecutive days. Give your skin at least a day's rest between sessions.
- Between uses: hang the pouch (with the bar still inside) on a hook or dry ledge so both dry fully. Never leave sitting in water.
- Shelf life: one bar lasts roughly 6–8 weeks of daily use.
Body scrubs.
Rest (Lavender), Clear (Coconut)
- On arrival: put the jar in the fridge for a few hours before first use. Transit can loosen the whipped butters — chilling settles them back to their original creamy texture.
- Storage: lid tight, below 25°C. Direct sunlight melts the butters; refrigerate during peak summer if your bathroom runs hot.
- Use: on wet skin, 2–3 times a week. Massage in slow circles for thirty seconds, then rinse the scrub off with warm water. For a smoother, less oily finish, follow with soap to wash off any remaining butters.
- Patch test: on the inner arm before first full use.
- Shelf life: 4–6 weeks of normal use per jar; unopened, 12 months from manufacture.
Bath salts.
Evening Soak — Lavender, Morning Ritual — Peppermint
- Full bath: Draw a warm bath. Pour two to three handfuls under the running tap so the crystals dissolve evenly. Soak fifteen to twenty minutes.
- Foot soak & foot massage: One handful in a warm basin of water. Rest feet in the water for ten to fifteen minutes, then massage into the soles, arches, and heels — the heat opens the muscle, the salt softens the skin. Best after a long day on your feet.
- Storage: lid tight, dry cupboard. Keep the jar away from steam so the crystals don't clump.
- Avoid on freshly waxed skin or open cuts — the salt will sting.
Guasha tool.
- Apply a facial oil or serum first (the tool needs glide). Draw upward and outward in slow strokes — five minutes.
- Cleaning: rinse briefly under cool water after use, pat dry immediately, store in the cotton pouch.
- If you drop it: a chipped edge can be smoothed with fine-grit sandpaper; a snapped tool can't be repaired.
Salt-therapy pillows.
Halo Pillow · rectangle, Hearth Pillow · round
- For warmth: microwave for 60-90 seconds. Place over shoulders, neck, lower back. Holds warmth for about an hour.
- Cleaning: spot-clean the cotton outer with a damp cloth. Never machine-wash.
- Refilling: after 12–18 months of regular use, write to us for a refill kit.
Salt healing light.
Arbor
- Plugs directly into any wall socket. Switch on at sundown; leave on through the night — the bulb's warmth keeps the salt dry.
- Wipe with a dry cloth only. Never submerge; the salt dissolves.
- If the surface ever weeps in monsoon humidity, leave it on for two hours — it will dry out completely.
Salt lamps.
Radiance, USB Pink Salt Lamp
- Place on a stable, dry surface — wood, marble, ceramic. Avoid metal trays (long-term salt-metal contact can cause oxidation).
- Wipe with a dry cloth only. A microfibre or soft cotton cloth removes dust and any morning condensation. Never submerge.
- For best longevity, leave the lamp on through the night — the bulb's warmth keeps the salt dry.
- Bulbs are replaceable — a spare comes with the cord. Use the same wattage.
- If the lamp ever weeps (puddle around the base in monsoon humidity), turn it on for two hours — it will dry out completely.
Kitchen grinders & refills.
- Adjustable grain: turn the dial at the base — clockwise for fine, anti-clockwise for coarse.
- Refill from the kraft pouch when empty. Reseal with the included twist-tie.
- Store the grinder upright in a dry cupboard.
- Best applied at the end of cooking, not the beginning. The flavour reads cleaner.
Serving plate & tray.
- Before first use: wipe with a damp cloth and dry completely.
- Cold or room-temperature service: place food directly on the plate. It picks up a gentle, even salt note in 10–15 minutes.
- Warm service: pre-heat in a low oven (no higher than 200°C) for thirty minutes.
- Never submerge in water, dishwasher, or sink. The salt dissolves.
- Cleaning: wipe with a dry cloth after use. A natural antimicrobial surface — no soap needed.
- Over years, the surface develops a soft patina. This is part of the object. With care, a plate lasts a decade.
